| Preliminary Information about LURA and the Huntsville Sustainability Plan |
The Town of Huntsville has hired LURA to assist in the development of a Sustainability Plan and will oversee the entire process. Final decisions throughout this process will be made through the Environmental Committee and Council. A Working Group with representatives from Huntsville including , Town Councillors and staff , LURA, local Business and the Green Plan Task Force, has been established to contribute ideas to the plan. |

| Muskoka Heritage Foundation looking for candidates for Natural Heritage Awards! |
Each year, the Muskoka Heritage Foundation seeks to recognize and honour individuals and families who voluntarily protect their land through good stewardship. Stewardship, simply put, means taking good care of the land through protection, preservation or restoration. Individuals or families who are doing an excellent job are honoured by the awarding of a Natural Heritage Stewardship Award at the Muskoka Heritage Foundation’s Annual General Meeting in October. |
